True love Story: Why two loving hearts get separated

True love Story

It (True love Story)is not necessary that when two hearts meet they become one forever. Sometimes circumstances take such a turn that everything falls apart and two loving hearts, despite not wanting it, get separated from each other.

Rose and Shikha both studied in English medium St. Xavier’s school. Both were from upper middle class families. Shikha was the only child of her parents while Rose had a younger sister. In terms of wealth, Shikha’s family was much better off than Rose’s family. Shikha’s father was a police inspector. His additional income was quite high. He had a reputation in the city. Rose and Shikha had been studying together since the first grade, so they became good friends. Both their families were also good friends. Shikha was beautiful and Rose was very smart.

That day their 10th board results were about to come. Shikha also came to Rose’s house to see her result. Rose opened his laptop and went to the board’s website. In a few moments, both got to know their results. Rose had scored 95 percent marks and Shikha had scored 85 percent. Both were satisfied with their results. And they were congratulating each other. Rose’s mother gave them sweets.

Shikha said, “What do you want to study next, Maths or Biology? You have good marks in both subjects?”

“I will take PCM only. And you?”

“I will take Arts, I want to join the administrative service.”

“I am not interested in the administrative service. You will have to be a flatterer to the leaders and ministers all your life.”

“Can I give you a piece of advice?”

“Yes, tell me.”

“You become a pilot. A pilot’s dress will suit you very well and you will look twice as smart. I will also start flying in the air along with you.”

“With me?”

“Indeed, why not, can’t pilots take their spouses along?”

Then Shikha remembered what she had said and ran away from there in shame. Rose kept calling out but he did not look back. After a while Rose’s mother also came there. She had heard their conversation. She said, “Shikha has unknowingly said what was on her mind. Shikha is a nice girl. I like her. You complete your studies. If you like her then I will talk to her mother.”

Rose said, “This is a matter for later mother, at this point we are simply old buddies. First I have to look after my career.”

Mother said, “Shikha has given you a good advice. My son will feel very good if he becomes a pilot.”

“Mummy, it will cost a lot.”

“Don’t worry about the expenses, if you feel like it then you must become a pilot, otherwise if you want to pursue some other course then think carefully. Study what you are interested in,” Rose’s father said after listening to them.

Those days were the beginning of the 21st century. New airlines were emerging in the Indian airways. Rose thought that a pilot’s career would be good. On the other hand, Rose’s mother also talked to Shikha’s mother and told her about Shikha’s thoughts. Both the families agreed to make this relationship work in the future.

One day in school, Rose told Shikha, “I have decided that I will become a pilot. You should be ready to fly with me.”

“I have been waiting for so long,” said Shikha in a mischievous tone.

“OK, hang tight for me, yet I will wed you solely after I become a business pilot.”

“No problem.”

Now Rose and Shikha had come very close. Both of them started dreaming golden dreams of their future. Both of them had passed 12th class. Rose had to go to a flying school in America to become a good commercial pilot.

In India, there was no facility for simulation on multi-engine aircraft and aircraft like Airbus A-320 which was necessary for a good commercial pilot. Therefore, Rose’s father arranged for the fees of American flying school by selling the land of the village and taking loan from some provident fund. Rose went to America and took admission in a recognized flying school. Shikha took admission in BA in a local college.

After going to America, both of them used to talk on phone and video chat. The wheel of time was turning at its own pace. More than 3 years had passed by. Rose got the commercial pilot license. Shikha did not get success in the administrative service. She told Rose that she will try to compete for the administrative service once again.

Rose joined the job of a pilot in a private airline. He was on domestic flights for about 2 years. Once or twice he also took Shikha for a ride in his flight. He showed Shikha the cockpit and told her about some aircraft operations. Shikha felt that her dream was about to come true. After a year, Rose got a chance to fly on an international flight. Sometimes to Singapore, sometimes to Hong Kong and sometimes to London.

Shikha did not get success in the administrative service in the second year as well. Here, Shikha’s family wanted to get her married soon. Rose asked them for 1-2 years more time. Actually, Rose’s father had taken a lot of loan for her education. Rose wanted to repay some of the loan from his earnings and get his younger sister married.

Although that private airline was in the second place in the country in domestic air service, the internal condition of this company was not good. In 2007, the company had bought another domestic airline company, after which its financial condition started deteriorating. By 2010, the situation started getting worse. In between, the employees had to work for 2-2 months without salary.

On the other hand, Shikha’s father was pressurizing Rose for marriage. But Rose would repeatedly ask for some more time so that the burden on his father could be lightened. Whatever Rose earned, he would give it to his father. Because of this, Rose’s sister’s marriage also took place well. His father had also retired.
